Naked Entertainment names director of development

FremantleMedia-owned production house Naked Entertainment has appointed former Remarkable Entertainment executive Tom O’Brien (pictured) as the company’s director of development.

In his new role, O’Brien will lead the existing development team with responsibility of overseeing the creation and development of all new content in unscripted. Based at Naked’s London offices, he will report to CEO Simon Andreae.

O’Brien has previously set up and managed the development teams at a number of UK indies, including Remarkable Television, Twofour Broadcast and Electric Ray. His production credits include ITV’s This Time Next Year and The Inspectors Are Coming; Channel 4′s How Rich Are You? and Party House; and BBC’s Close to the Edge, Natural Born Winners and Prized Apart.

The appointment comes after a wave of recent commissions at Naked Entertainment, including 5Star’s extreme make-under show 100% Hotter (10 x 60 minutes) and Channel 5′s family survival series Stripped and Stranded (4 x 60 minutes).
