Sunshine is currently Executive Producing at Naked Television across two major new Channel 4 series.
Sunshine cut her storytelling teeth as an award-winning documentary film editor, crafting popular series such as ‘Jamie’s School Dinners’ and ‘Supernanny’. She graduated to directing while pregnant with her first child, and moved into senior editorial producing to better juggle motherhood and programme-making. Sunshine excels at supporting filming teams with sharp editorial insight, helping them create impactful, coherent and surprising stories and tone across multiple episodes. She brings strong people skills to recruiting and leading diverse creative teams.
Sunshine has shaped a broad range of unscripted programming, from James Bluemel’s ‘Skint’ – one of Channel 4’s highest rating factual series of 2013 – to the epic ’Welcome to Rio’ and ‘Hospital’ for BBC2; the first season of ‘Hunted’ and ‘Eden – Paradise Lost’ for Channel 4; ‘The Accused’ for A&E in America. She made a rare return to editing in 2016 to work on the multiple-BAFTA, RTS and International Emmy winning ‘Exodus - Our Journey to Europe’, a BBC series about the refugee crisis.
Sunshine lives in South London with her husband Jason, and her two daughters Florence and Bibi. While at home with her second baby, Sunshine wrote ‘Little London’, a guide for city adventuring with young children. She also speaks to large media companies about the importance of neurodiversity for innovative and disruptive creative teams.
